Measuring since 17 Oct 2026 · never stopped

Your output changed. Was it you, or was it them?

TempZero runs a fixed battery of prompts against LLM providers every hour, at temperature 0, from outside their network — and keeps every raw answer. When your pipeline starts behaving differently, you get an answer instead of a theory.

Independent. We don’t resell inference, we don’t serve models, we have nothing to protect.

Evidence, not claims

Three things we measured on day one

Every row below is a real measurement from our own probes on 17 October 2026, not an illustration. Each one is shown the way the product shows it: the prompt, what the model used to answer, what it answers now. You verify it with your own eyes — there is no similarity score to take on faith.

The same prompt, two different answers — at temperature 0

non-deterministic qwen3 · 11 runs
Answer A — 6 of 11 runs
295.42
Answer B — 5 of 11 runs
296.58
Temperature 0 is widely treated as deterministic. It is not. Same model, same prompt, same settings, minutes apart — two different numbers. Both are also wrong; the correct answer is 2953.72. prompt: "Compute the result. Answer with ONLY the number… 137 units at 24.50 each, then a 12% discount."

A date field that silently stops being a date field

What your parser expects
{"name":"Acme Ltd","date":"2026-03-04"}
What it also returns
{"name":"Acme Ltd","date":"March 4th, 2026"}
Same prompt, same temperature. Valid JSON both times — so your schema check passes and your date parser throws three layers downstream. Or worse, doesn’t throw. prompt: "Return the fields as raw JSON on a single line… Keys exactly: name, date."

A model that simply stopped existing

How it works

A weather station, not a weather forecast

We don’t predict which model is best. We record what every model actually did, hour after hour, so that when something changes there is a before to compare against.

01

Speed

Latency probes from outside the provider’s network, on a fixed cadence.

  • p50 / p95 latency
  • error rate by class
  • how often you get rate-limited
  • timeouts, 5xx, silent empty responses
02

Behaviour

Twelve prompts that never change, at temperature 0, with every raw answer stored.

  • format violations (JSON stops being JSON)
  • answers that quietly become wrong
  • output fingerprint shifts
  • length collapse or inflation
03

Commercials

What the provider charges and offers, tracked instead of announced.

  • price per 1M tokens, in and out
  • context window changes
  • rate limit changes
  • models removed from the catalogue, announced or not
Why your observability tool can’t answer this

They watch your traffic. We watch theirs.

Langfuse, Helicone, LangSmith and Braintrust are good at what they do, and TempZero replaces none of them. But they all measure your own requests, from inside your own system. When your outputs shift, your own traffic cannot tell you whether the cause was your last deploy or the provider’s — there is no independent baseline to compare against. That is the one question we exist to answer.

Early access

Tell us which models you depend on.

We’ll add them to the battery and write to you the first time one of them moves. No marketing sequence, no newsletter — one message, when something actually happens.

Thanks — you’re on the list. We’ll write once, when something moves.

Measurement runs whether anyone signs up or not. The history is the product, and it starts the day the probes start.
